The young girls worked well in their groups and revealed a lot about their knowledge and understanding of gangs and how they operate.  The young girls were able to use poetry writing and drama to discuss and challenge girl gang issues. The poetry writing and the play, which was written by the girls, gave a positive message to others girls about what can happen in girl gangs and the potential consequences.

The sessions explored personal goals and achievement, career aspirations and how being involved in gangs can impact on families, friends, communities and their career choices if poor choices are made with no plan for the future.

There were 8 and sometimes 9 young people in attendance. These sessions were complemented by SHINE sexual health sessions. The expressed the sexual health session were informative and interesting. The young girls questioned and learned about issues which could affect parts of their lives.
