Future Links

Future Links was formed in September 2009. The aim of the project was to identify, target and support young people aged between 15-18 years who live in Newham and are not in education, employment or training – otherwise known as NEET. Future Links also run programmes that aim to raise the self-esteem and confidence in young people starting at 14 years of age.

Employability, Guidance, and Advice Service

Employability, Guidance, and Advice Service was established to provide support for all young people in matters related to employability.  A key feature of the Employability, Guidance, and Advice Service is the delivery of services to a young person through a single point of contact - the Personal Adviser (PA). This provides young people with access to impartial, integrated information, guidance & advice regarding employability and personal development opportunities.

SHINE

SHINE is Newham's young people's sexual health service. SHINE is a friendly, free and fully confidential service for young people aged 24 and under, including under 16s. Advice, information and support is available on sexual health, pregnancy, sexuality and relationships.

Canning Town Regeneration

The Canning Town and Custom House Regeneration Project aims to create better neighbourhoods through regeneration in Canning Town and Custom House.

The views of young people are central to the development and delivery of the regeneration initiative and developers are in consultation and engagement with young people through partnership work with providers of youth activities.
